Snippet of WYA play from 1995 ‘Alice Through the Oxygen Mask’Devised by the Group with text written by Pat Kavanagh and Katie Fallon. This was a new take on the Alice story and produced such nightmarish and hugely entertaining scenes as: Hitler-like leader addressing his Banana Company; Rats crawling from giant fridges; a game of chess involving the cast; a cowboy in the school classroom; a two-headed god (male and female). And through all this and more went the innocent Alice trying to figure it all out. The show was a huge success and confirmed the talent of director and facilitator Liam Meagher. Described by The Sunday Tribune as one of the theatre highlights for 1995.

The atmosphere gets progressively rarer as you go up, it’s not a specific cutoff. It also depends on your health, what you’re doing, etc. At 5000 feet, your night vision is affected; at 10000 feet you’re ability to exert muscle power is affected; at 15000 feet your judgment is affected; at 20000 feet you pass out. As a rule of thumb.
Hilarious scene where Michael C. Anthony convinces his volunteers they are hot and desperate for air, but thankfully their shoes will work as oxygen masks!

i know the safety announcement says to put your Oxygen mask on first before helping your child, and i know the reasoning behind it.
but i want to know how many PARENTS (or future parents) would actually help themselves first?
lets say you have one child can you please answer
YES I would help myself first ( so i can help my child)
or
NO i would help my child first (my child is more important than i am)
just a little discussion my shrink and i are having. i think i am right and if i am, i am going to ditch her.
I would put my mask on first so that I would be in a position to help my child. It would be stupid not to.
Your child won’t die if they’re without oxygen for a short time, but they may pass out and so could you if you take too long to get your mask on. If the adult puts their mask on first, they will be conscious and able to help their child with their mask and whatever else is necessary. Imagine how dreadful it would be for your child if her parent was unconscious and people were panicking all around or if something else terrifying was happening to the plane.
because the normal air you breath is only about 65% so when you put on that mask it increases the oxogen you get up to 70% 75% 80% how ever much your body needs your body should be at or above 90% to function right
Atleast u get oxygen, though only for a limited time,ur ears might pop,it rarely happens,to be more clarified contact the airline.

I was one of them.
What problems may be in such cases?
the masks usually used on some babies actually suck fluid out of their throat or lungs that they inhaled during labour or birth. this helps the baby breathe normally.
if that fluid stopped them from breathing normally, they they give the baby oxygen because if you’re starved of oxygen at birth you can develop serious learning disabilities.
