The oxygen that is supplied to the hospital is pure oxygen. At the point of dispensing, the O2 is bubbled through water to add water vapor to the mix. This keeps the gas from drying out the mucus membrane.
I dont know of anything EXCEPT THOSE WHO HAVE THEM AND SMOKE WHILE USING THE OXYGEN FOR BREATHING. There is a reason medical supply companies use the NO SMOKING SIGN AND IT READS NO SMOKING OXYGEN IN USE.
