My experiences with scars

A scar is usually weaker than the surrounding skin, because it consists of connective tissue and not regular skin cells. Connective tissue is missing the rest from the skin’s characteristics, such as elasticity.

The very first half year, the scar is generally red. Scarring will usually feel more challenging than usual within the surface pores and skin and frequently rises slightly. Usually recover the wound itself nicely. After a few months, the scar will be flat and pale.

If there’s a great deal of tension in the skin where the wound is, and to heal the area becoming thicker than regular. These scars are called “hypertrophic scars. It could be difficult to distinguish them from regular scars. Scar tissue frequently include the two conditions.
Keloids
Sometimes the scarring from the pores and skin much larger than the original wound. The scar is large, firm, smooth, hard “excrescences” as is “keloids. Many people with keloids have problems in terms of pain and itching from the scar.

Why keloids occur, is unknown. Most individuals never get keloids, others get it after only a stick insect or a pimple.

Keloids can occur throughout the entire body, but are generally about the upper back and chest and shoulders.

People with dark pores and skin get keloids more easily than whites. In the Nordic population may be the formation of keloids relatively rare.kviser
