I was also just diagnosed with sleep apnea and I have to wear a mask. I don’t wear the whole mask, I just wear a nose piece with a chin strap to keep my mouth closed. I can’t sleep with the whole mask, it makes me have a panic attack! I have been wearing it for about 2 weeks now and I finally got to about 5:30am this morning. I was told to start out slow and wear it as long as possible and if I was tossing and turning all night with the mask and having a big problem then only wear it a couple hours each night until I got used to it. I hope that I can eventually wear it all night long for a week at a time so I can finally get some sleep!
