Of course it is. It’s a safety device pilots use in case of rapid cabin depressurization called and oxygen mask silly! Periodically you do tests on them to be sure they work. They’re also really fun to play with. =P

Wow! Yes, it is. Those are my favorite types of O2 mask.

Yup. The red lever/button on the front of the mask inflates the elastic harness so you can place it over your head. Then after letting go of the button, the pressure is released and the mask is pulled firmly around your mouth. This is the real deal oxygen mask that pilots of today use. Broken this bad boy is worth about 1,800 U.S. dollars but fully overhauled she’s worth close to 2,500. Boatload of money for something so simple huh? =)
