    Yes, there is that – but I would still want our firefighters to give my animals “the chance”………….

  2. Only problem is, …
    Only problem is, with animals, you won’t know if they suffered any brain damage from the hypoxia (no oxygen to the brain tissue) caused in the fire. You could be prolonging their life, but because they can’t talk, you won’t know if they’re suffering. I’m an advocate, but just remember, sometimes it’s just too late – even with human’s.

    Congratulations on joining the ranks of those supporting Animal Rescue and Resuscitation.
    Here in Delaware we started in 2006 – by May of 2007 EVERY FIRE STATION in the State had at least one set – today some stations have a set on every vehicle or one on every ambulance.
    Our State Arson dog has a single in her emergency kit along with a breather bag &
    we are slowly getting singles to each K9 officer also!
    But most importantly – there have been several saves – both cats and dogs!
